In Tribal & Error you have to save the cavemen from the upcoming ice age by learning their language and solving puzzles through communication. As a little tapemachine-robot you’re able to communicate with the cavemen by recording their language and playing it back.
Working on this game we had to face some interesting time-related issues. Like, how does a futuristic, time-traveling robot sound, that uses sound recording technology from the sixties to record cavemen that lived thousands of years ago? Musicwise we went for a traditional cavemen approach with an orchestration consisting of cavemen-chanting, some wind instruments and various percussive elements.
